Family Ties

Moving Day (book)

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, – Ephesians 2:19

It’s always a little scary to go into new situations like a job, neighborhood, or school where you don’t know many people if any at all. Some set of circumstances gave the opportunity for this change in life, and the choice was made to follow it. As time passes, relationships normally do develop as communication is made with others, and as experiences are shared.

The truth is that when we become a follower of Christ, we no longer are strangers … we’re family. The common element we as Christians have is Christ. Through his grace and mercy, we are brought together for the purpose of the kingdom. We no longer are alone. God has given us plenty of brothers and sisters in the faith for which we will spend eternity. The heavenly mansion is getting bigger and bigger.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I love the big family you have given me. Knowing that I will never lose them brings me joy and confidence. I pray that I can be part of the process to add more family members. Amen

Faith Tip: If you are feeling lonely, talk to God about it. He is always there. Plus he has a lot of sons and daughters to surround you in his love.

  1. Thanks Kathy! We just moved 3 weeks ago, and actually I was feeling a little discouraged and lonely last night. We know that God has called us here, though, and that God will provide.
