How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
“Your God reigns!” – Isaiah 52:7
There is always a tension felt when waiting in the waiting room of a hospital for news of a loved one in surgery. Scenarios play in our mind of the possible outcomes. Then we see the doctor enter the room and say that everything went well. That news releases the stress of the possibilities and sets you on firmer ground of truth. You appreciate the good news being brought. Can you imagine the doctor never coming into the room and sharing with you the news? You would be left in a quandary.
Bringing the good news of God allows us to help others stand on a firm foundation of truth. Our feet truly are beautiful as we go and share the peace Christ offers and the gift of salvation others can possess. Truth is what helps each one of us walk confidently knowing we were made for a purpose by a God who loves us completely. Keep walking for the Lord and sharing God for it is a special call we all have been given.
Prayer: Your truth, O’ Lord, is what keeps me serving you. I praise you for the opportunities you give me to share you. I pray that I obey you and follow in faith. Amen
