Tomorrow, tomorrow …. there’s always tomorrow …

I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.  ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” – Revelation 21:2-4

There are some days, as I’m sure you have experienced, where frustration mounts up and I have thoughts like, “Lord, are you coming back today? Today would be a great day to do that; then I wouldn’t have to deal with this.” Then the next day appears and things are usually on their way to being worked out. There is a blessing in the new day.

What a wonderful day it will be when Jesus does come back. All of our struggles will be gone in a flash. No more pain of any kind … finished! It’s hard to imagine, isn’t it? Is it hard to believe? Living our life to be ready for that day shows how much we do believe it.

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for the promise you gave me that you are coming back. I praise you that you have the last word … and it will be good. I pray that I am strengthened in my faith to live for that day. Amen

Faith Tip: Consider what the differences would be in your life in believing that Jesus was coming back versus if you didn’t believe it.
