Living with Love

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. – 1 John 4:15-16

There are many people in the world who believe the lie that they are alone and unloved. Believing a lie causes a lot of damage to people. The results are suicide, abuse, addictions, violence and more. Lies form darkness in our minds and souls and keep the light of truth out. It is a choice.

To abide means to dwell or to have your home. When we choose to make our home with God, God also makes his home in us. We can believe that this home we have chosen is full of love. God’s perfect love washes out the darkness of lies from our inner being for he will not cohabitate with the Prince of Lies.

Open yourself up to God’s love and allow his healing light of truth to clean out the darkness you’ve held on to for too long.

Prayer: Lord of Light, I praise you for your great love. Thank you for shining light on the areas of my life that needed cleaning out. I pray that I seek your truth in maintaining a clean house. Amen

Faith Tip: Is there a lie you have been holding on to? Shine God’s light on it to power wash it out of your mind and soul.

  1. Thank you for this, Kathy! I had a woman in my office yesterday who was trapped in a gambling addiction for 20 years. It is neat to see her beginning to let the light wash away the lies. God is power washing her soul! Deb M
