Chaos to peace

For God is not a God of disorder but of peace— – 1 Corinthians 14:33

As I sat last night untangling an incredibly chaotic skein of yarn, I thought that it was going to take forever, which it did take close to two hours to untangle. I think somehow the skein was wound up incorrectly in the packaging process. When I looked at all the yarn tangled on my lap, it seemed insurmountable. It was total chaos. But walking the yarn through thread by thread is a journey that finally leads to the yarn being rolled up in a ball.

When we look at the challenges in our lives, we sometimes think it is impossible to walk through it or to bring some kind of normality back into our lives. Even though we see the chaos, God sees the journey from beginning to end. To God, it is part of the order plan to bring us to be the beautiful work he created. It usually doesn’t happen instantly, but step by step on a journey that will lead us to peace.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for being a God of order and peace. I can experience your peace knowing that through the chaos, you have total control. I pray that I do not give up but persevere in following your plan. Amen

Faith Tip: What steps can you take today to follow God in the journey through a challenge? Pray about it.
