Putting the pieces together

Pieces of a puzzle

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything – James 1:2-5

I love doing puzzles and haven’t put one together in a long time. It takes time to find just the right pieces to fit in to make the desired picture on the cover of the box. Maybe you have done what I’ve done in the past and “make” a piece fit by pounding it in. Even though we may have squeezed it in there, it just doesn’t look right.

The journey of life that we are on is like a big puzzle with a lot of little pieces. It takes a long time to complete the desired project and if we try to force a piece in, it doesn’t work. Through the ups and downs of life, these pieces of our puzzle are for a purpose. The great Puzzlemaker will finish the work in us as we obey and it will be beautiful.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you for taking the time to work on the puzzle of me. I pray that I may follow in obedience and be joyful in knowing that you are there and you will finish the work. Amen

Faith Tip: Is there a piece of your puzzle that you are trying to fit in. Give it up and let God find the right piece for you.
