Where will you run?

The LORD is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him,
(Nahum 1:7).

My role in caring for others changed dramatically as I went through chemotherapy. I was the one being cared for. It gave me an opportunity to see the wonderful gift of giving care as I experienced love in action by others.

When times of trouble come into our lives, we sometimes wonder who will care for us. It could be that we wonder where our next meal will come from, if there is a job for us around the corner, or if someone will understand our emotional hurts. We are people who have needs and that’s okay. The Lord wants us to be dependent upon him for it is ultimately God who is our caregiver. He is the one who works through others to show love and care.

Isn’t it wonderful to know that there is someone available 24/7 to care for us? This is shown in the most needed gift of Jesus. Without Jesus, we would have no one to run to when we struggle. The babe in the straw cares for you. Trust him.

Prayer: Thank you, Jesus, for coming to earth. You left a perfect heaven because of your love and care for us. I pray that I trust you in all things. Amen

Faith Tip: Where are you struggling right now? Jesus cares. Trust him. Watch for how he will care for you.
