All for one and one for all

There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28)

I remember attending a Thanksgiving meal with family that resembled a United Nations meeting. We had two teens from Ethiopia, friends of our niece were visiting from France, my husband’s sister’s family is from Venezuela, a college student from Kenya and us. We came together as a “family” to celebrate a day of thankfulness to God. It didn’t matter where we were from or the differences in our appearances—what mattered was being together.

How great to know that our eternity will be much like this—being thankful and praising God and being together as brothers and sisters in the Lord. It doesn’t matter how we look or where we are from. Jesus is what brings us together.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for the wonderful way you bring us together. I pray that I can be an instrument of your peace in bringing unity in the body of Christ. Amen

Faith tip: Encourage someone today who may feel like they are alone and show them the bigger picture of family in Christ.
