Hospitality Plus

Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. (Romans 12:13)

In inviting people to our home for dinner, I want to make sure that they will feel as comfortable as possible. I want them to feel special and cared for. This is the idea most of us have about hospitality. The Bible expands on the idea of hospitality being more than entertaining in our homes.

In Acts, the church shared everything in common; this is an act of hospitality. To freely give and share what God has blessed you with is being hospitable. The Good Samaritan caring for the injured traveler blessed him with hospitality. He showed him mercy and compassion. So anywhere we are we can practice hospitality. Who will God put in our path to show hospitality to today?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, you are the source of hospitality, and I thank you for the grace, mercy and love you have shown me. I pray that I can be a reflection of your hospitality today. Amen.

Faith Tip: Pray that God shows you today the opportunities to bless someone with hospitality.
